Some of the world's leading scientific minds spoke at the public symposium Bringing the Genome to You, celebrating the sequencing of the human genome and the 50th anniversary of the description of DNA's double helix.
Nobel Laureate James Watson, National Human Genome Research Institute Director Francis Collins and others on the cutting edge of genetics shared their insights. This half-day public symposium was held on the morning of April 15, 2003 at the Smithsonian's National Museum of Natural History and was broadcast around the world via satellite and the Web.
