Office of the Director

The Office of the Director oversees general operations; administration; communications; and genomic data science activities for the National Human Genome Research Institute (NHGRI). It provides overall leadership; sets policies; develops scientific, fiscal and management strategies; assists in governing the ethical behavior of its employees, and coordinates genomic research for the National Institutes of Health with other federal, private and international programs.
