This series of articles on genomics from the Journal of the American Academy of Physician Assistants demonstrates how genetics is becoming the fundamental science for all health care providers and how it has influenced clinical practice for Physician Assistants (PA) now and in the future.

The series demonstrates the clinical relevance of genetics to different disciplines within PA practice and presents current practical applications of genetics, while reinforcing underlying genetic concepts and principles that can be applied more broadly. The articles deliver a snapshot of how genetics and genomics are changing and will continue to change the understanding of the natural science of disease and health.
