The Genomics in Medicine Lecture Series

The Genomics in Medicine Lecture Series was sponsored by the National Human Genome Research Institute (NHGRI), in collaboration with Suburban Hospital and Johns Hopkins.

The series aimed to enhance health-care professionals' understanding of the intersection between genomics and medicine, but the general public was able to attend the hour-long lectures.

Each lecture was held at Suburban Hospital's lower level auditorium at 8600 Old Georgetown Road in Bethesda, Md. 

 

 

2011-2014 Lecture Series

• The 2014 Genomics in Medicine Lecture Series
  This four-lecture series by top experts in neurology and psychiatry will enhance health-care professionals' understanding of the intersection between genomics and these specialized fields of medicine. 
   
• The 2013-2014 Genomics in Medicine Lecture Series
  The eight-lecture 2013-2014 series was devoted to top experts in oncology and genomics. 

• The 2012-2013 Genomics in Medicine Lecture Series
  The Genomics in Medicine Lecture Series ifor 2012-13 covered everything from ADHD, to Parkinson's and neuromuscular disease. 
   
• The 2011-2012 Genomics in Medicine Lecture Series
  The inaugural Genomics in Medicine Lecture Series covered everything from breast cancer diagnosis and treatment to therapeutics for genetic conditions to the genomics of cardiovascular disease.
