Biography

Christina R. Daulton serves as the Partnerships and Engagement Officer at the National Human Genome Research Institute (NHGRI) in the Office of the Deputy Director and the Training, Diversity, and Health Equity Office.  In her role, Ms. Daulton engages with communities around the implications of genomics research and translates complex research and scientific concepts for the public. Ms. Daulton, in partnership with communities and organizations, develops innovative programs and initiatives that encourage meaningful dialogue while simultaneously generating learning opportunities about genomics.

From 2013-2021, Ms. Daulton served as an Education Outreach Specialist in NHGRI’s Education and Community Involvement Branch, where she played a significant role in developing programs such as NHGRI’s Short Course in Genomics and programming for the NHGRI/Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History exhibition, Genome: Unlocking Life’s Code.

Prior to joining NHGRI, Ms. Daulton worked for the National Congress of American Indians in their Policy Research Center. For more than a decade, she also worked as a researcher and policy analyst for higher education associations.

Ms. Daulton earned her bachelor’s degree in English education from the University of Delaware and her master’s degree in American Studies from The George Washington University.
