Select Training and Funding Opportunities
Training
The National Human Genome Research Institute NHGRI’s Training, Diversity and Health Equity Office (TiDHE) supports initiatives and opportunities for genomics education and careers; cultivates genomics training programs and workforce development initiatives for individuals underrepresented in biomedical research; and promotes genomics research to improve minority health, reduce health disparities and foster health equity.
Undergraduate/Postbaccalarueate Training
These training opportunities introduce students to the genomics field with mentoring and engagement in biomedical research at the National Human Genome Research Institute (NHGRI).
Master's and Predoctoral Training
Give opportunities for graduate students to work in a collaborative environment with leading scientists and clinicians to train the next generation of scientific leaders in the field of genomics.
Clinical and Residency Training
Trains physicians and clinicians to manage, diagnose, and counsel patients with genetic disorders.
Postdoctoral and Early-Stage Investigator Training
Opportunities that will prepare future scientists to perform genomics research at NHGRI.
Research Funding Opportunities
NHGRI solicits grant applications that relate to its scientific priorities and research interests. For some programs, the NHGRI participates with other institutes and centers at the National Institutes of Health (NIH).
